Tom Coombes
CEO
Tom Coombes is the founder and CEO of Cognito. Tom’s experience is drawn from more than 12 years advising financial institutions and related businesses on improving their marketing, communications and brand strategies to make a direct impact on sales and profitability.
Tom’s client experience comes from working with leading financial sector brands around the globe including the London Stock Exchange, JPMorgan and ABN AMRO as well as numerous technology companies and consultancies that sell to the financial services market. |

Daniel Simon
Managing Director, US Operations
Dan established and heads up Cognito's US office which now works with over 15 leading financial and financial technology firms, including EquiLend, the securities lending platform formed by the top 10 securities lending banks and Citisoft the world's largest independent investment management consultancy.
Dan has extensive expertise in both European and US financial media and analyst relations having worked with such firms as Accenture Capital Markets and Lord Abbett - the USD 109bn investment manager. Prior to setting up Cognito's US office, Dan was an account manager for three years on a variety of UK clients, including the Financial News IT Excellence Awards. Dan is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Senior Consultant
Rod works as a Senior Consultant at Cognito and specializes in building corporate campaigns that achieve genuine cut through and tangible results. His 12+ years of experience in B2B corporate communications have been gained with leading London agencies. Rod is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Alan James
Creative Services Director
Alan heads Cognito’s Design Division with experience of wide ranging
projects from corporate brand development including logotypes,
brochures, presentations, annual reports and web design. Alan’s
clients have included Microsoft, Reuters, Hewlett-Packard and Intel.

Deborah Eisenberg
Senior Account Manager, US Operations
Deborah is a Senior Account Manager at Cognito. She manages an account team working for some of the leading players in the financial technology space including Omgeo and Linedata as well as several financial institutions. Deborah works closely with senior executives from a range of clients on strategy and planning, media relations, and crisis communications.
Prior to joining the firm, Deborah worked in the Reputation Management Group of Weber Shandwick. Deborah holds an MA in International Marketing and Communications from The Fletcher School in Boston, and a BA from New York University. |
