Martin has 18 years experience in the media industry and specializes in helping companies grow. Martin has held directorships and substantial equity positions in a range of companies in media, publishing and professional services. His broad commercial experience in the private and public sector as well as in the financial services market enables him to help lead Cognito as we expand our product offering, our international footprint and increase market share within our chosen sector.
Tom Coombes is the founder and CEO of Cognito. Tom’s experience is drawn from more than 12 years advising financial institutions and related businesses on improving their marketing, communications and brand strategies to make a direct impact on sales and profitability.
Tom’s client experience comes from working with leading financial sector brands around the globe including the London Stock Exchange, JPMorgan and ABN AMRO as well as numerous technology companies and consultancies that sell to the financial services market.
Dan established and heads up Cognito's US office which today works with
over 30 leading financial and financial technology firms. Dan has worked
with some of the largest names in finance including JPMorgan, RBC and
Lord Abbett, as well as multi-billion dollar hedge funds and brand names
such as Intel and AT&T.
Dan is also a financial columnist for PRNews and
a judge for PRNews' prestigious PR Platinum Awards. In addition, Dan is
an instructor at Media Bistro where he leads
classes on Media Relations and Client Relationship Management.
Managing Director, EMEA
Before joining Cognito, Andrew spent 13 years at Fishburn Hedges, co-heading its financial practice with clients including S&P Indices, SunGard, Investcorp, Liquidnet, ICAP, TriOptima, the International Centre for Financial Regulation, Bank of America and ISM Capital. Previously he worked for 9 years in investment banking, for Schroders and Deutsche Bank in London and Toronto. A German speaker, Andrew has extensive experience in leading pan-European communications programmes and in helping clients craft their intellectual expertise into compelling content. He regularly media trains clients for print and broadcast, and has an extensive crisis communications track record.
Regional Director, South East Asian Operations
Anne manages Cognito’s Asian operations and established Cognito’s headquarters in Singapore. The office is catering for Cognito’s clients, both locally and internationally, that need to manage their media profile and activity in the region. Cognito has a network of partners throughout Asia and Anne and her team oversee their operations to ensure seamless communications for clients.
Prior joining the firm, Anne ran Media and Analyst Relations at Texas Instruments in Europe. Before that, she worked on marketing and communications at Wallstreet Systems. Anne has strong global experience in media relations, integrated marketing and events, always optimizing the return on investment and driving increase for sales.
Vice President, New York
Ishviene is a Vice President at Cognito where she manages a wide range of financial services and technology clients including Omgeo, OneChicago and Nomura Research. Ishviene works with clients to build and execute strategic media relations and marketing campaigns as well as event planning initiatives. She joined Cognito from specialist investor relations firm, Taylor Rafferty where she was an associate in the media group. Ishviene holds a BA in Communications, with a specialization in corporate communications from Baruch College in New York.
Vice President, PR & Marketing, New York
Binna Kim is a Vice President and manages both PR & Marketing accounts at Cognito in New York. Binna has worked on numerous financial and financial technology clients on integrated PR and marketing initiatives, including firms such as Calypso, DTCC, Intel and Nomura Research International. She has headed up a range of creative initiatives including strategy and branding, messaging, media relations, and thought leadership campaigns. Prior to joining Cognito, Binna worked in Marketing at Merrill Lynch Investment Management. Binna holds a BA in English from Wellesley College.
Vice President, New York
Loretta has over 14 years financial services experience as head of the financial services practice at The Hamilton Group in New York and Vice President of Citigate's Corporate/Financial Practice. Previously she was with GCI and before that she worked as a Policy Analyst for New York’s Department of Economic Development.
