Pull, push communications...
The communications industry, much like the news industry, is currently going through some fundamental changes. Technology once again changed the landscape, forcing companies to review their communications model.
Traditionally companies pushed out information, to which they hoped their audience would engage, knows as the ‘push model.’
However, the landscape is moving towards a ‘pull’ model, where information is placed on platforms for everyone to see. Consumers then get pulled onto that platform.
This sounds fundamentally different..... Wrong
It is different, but only in the delivery and the numerous platforms information is now held on.
One thing remains constant is, ‘content is critical.’ Without relevant and interesting content to share, neither model will not get you the results you want.
