Worldwide Business Research Extends Partnership With Cognito

LONDON, 5 April 2011 - WBR, the World's biggest large-scale conference company and owner of the TradeTech portfolio, has selected Cognito for the third year running to promote its flagship European event.

TradeTech Europe, the leading industry forum dedicated to high-level discussion on the major challenges facing the electronic trading market, will be held between 12 and 14 April at London’s ExCeL Centre. At the event, 2000 trading and technology professionals will listen to over 130 speakers and meet with over 120 exhibitors, including many of the City’s largest investment banks. The event is set to attract 150 buy-side Heads of Desk.

"We previously worked with Cognito throughout 2009 to promote various shows in the TradeTech portfolio, both in the UK and US, and continue to be impressed by their understanding of the financial sector, and their extensive relationships with the buy-side media and analyst community,” said Henry Wallis, Sales Director Finance Portfolio, WBR. “Last year’s 10th anniversary event saw an increase in press attendance, including a notable spike in press registrations from platinum tier publications. We look forward to working again with Cognito, drawing on their industry expertise and working knowledge of shows such as TradeTech Europe.”

The 2011 programme will take on a brand new format, incorporating three new industry specific streams: TradeTech Regulation, TradeTech Buy-Side and TradeTech Derivatives. Guest speakers confirmed at the conference include Alexander Justham, Director of Markets, FSA; John Humphreys, Broadcaster, BBC; and David Smith, Economics Editor, The Sunday Times.
