Worldwide Business Research Selects Cognito for Social Media and Event Expertise
LONDON, 28 February 2012 - WBR, the World's biggest large-scale conference company and owner of the TradeTech portfolio, has again selected Cognito to promote its flagship European event. This marks the fourth year of the partnership, which this year integrates traditional PR support with a social media program, leveraging Cognito’s proprietary social media technology platform, Cognito Analytics.
Combining traditional media relations and social media expertise, Cognito will aim to build substantial profile around the event and give TradeTech a greater share of voice and social media impact inside and outside its traditional network. This will be achieved by leveraging Cognito’s in-house technology platform, Cognito Analytics, and the expertise of Cognito’s specialist financial services PR consultants.
"We have worked with Cognito since 2009 to promote various shows in the TradeTech portfolio, in the UK and US, and recently joined forces with them for TradeTech Asia in Singapore,” said Henry Wallis, Sales Director Finance Portfolio, WBR. “The partnership now supports TradeTech’s social footprint, while Cognito will continue to coordinate with buy-side media and analyst community. Their technology offering to the sponsors and delegates is also of key interest to us in demonstrating that TradeTech is an innovative and social gathering of financial professionals.”
TradeTech Europe, the leading industry forum dedicated to high-level discussion on the major challenges facing the electronic trading market, will be held between 24 and 26 April at London’s ExCeL Centre. At the event, over 3,000 buy and sell-side trading professionals will listen to over 140 speakers and meet with over 120 exhibitors, including many of the City’s largest investment banks. The event is set to attract 700 buy-side firms.
The 2012 programme will take on a brand new format, delivered via five industry specific streams: Market Structure & Regulation, Trading Infrastructure, Trading Venue Strategy, Buy-side Focus and Listed Futures and Options. Additionally there will be a high frequency trading focus day held on 24 January.
Andrew Carrier, Deputy Managing Director for Cognito EMEA added, “Cognito is thrilled to be working again with WBR, giving us an opportunity to further demonstrate our knowledge of the industry and utilize our technology solutions. TradeTech Europe continues to be recognized as one of the most senior and influential gatherings of buy and sell-side professionals, and is truly one of the highest calibre events in is space. The new format of the show is both exciting and innovative, and we look forward to building on last year’s success.”
