A “Lite” Breakfast with Global Macro Trader
Following the success of our latest Breakfast Byte which focused on trends and hot topics for communications professionals, the Cognito team in London unveiled the first “Breakfast Byte Lite”. The team invited Bruce Love, Editor of the new publication Global Macro Trader to discuss their offering, the market-moving topics that they would be covering and what they are looking for from PR professionals.
Global Macro Trader is a recently launched publication which will be providing traders and the buy-side with comprehensive, actionable information on a host of global macro ideas and events. The publication aims to help identify opportunities and implement investment strategies across all asset classes and instruments.
Bruce Love, editor of Global Macro Trader, hosts an introduction to the publication
A handful of Cognito’s clients and friends gathered in the “Hudson” boardroom in Cognito’s London office to find out more about the new publication over a continental breakfast.
Bruce Love, an experienced journalist who previously worked for The Trade and Automated Trader, explained his strategy to ensure the publication really stands out in the crowded market. It will focus on involving high-level spokespeople and industry leading commentators to provide compelling and thought provoking content to give the publication the edge over others. Bruce discussed the different issues he wanted to incorporate such as country policies, stock markets etc. and explained that some unexpected issues, such as Ukrainian wheat, which have the power to move markets could also be of interest.
Everyone was eager to know what Bruce was looking for from PR professionals. With his desire to make Global Macro Trader different from other publications he’s looking for interesting stories with a unique angle. Before pitching a story, always have the publication and the target audience front of mind and be creative in your pitching. Look at current trends/issues and develop a distinct perspective from other commentators.
