Joining the Twitter Conversation

Today we’re pleased to announce a major addition to Cognito Analytics.

Comtela is a platform for that allows communications and marketing professionals in the financial services industry to track, follow and converse with relevant media influencers on Twitter.

The Cognito Analytics team has worked with Cognito’s public relations professionals to create a list of the most important journalists on Twitter. At launch, this list already includes over 700 reporters in North America, Asia and Europe, and the database will continue to expand with user input over time. It includes financial services royalty such as DealBook founder Andrew Ross Sorkin and Reuters blogger Felix Salmon, along with niche reporters from key trades such as Inside Market Data and The Bond Buyer.

We’re inviting journalists to try out the service for free, to see where they stack up versus the competition. Don’t see your name? Drop the Comtela team a line at cognitoanalytics@cognitomedia.com to request the addition.

Comtela is more than just a benchmarking service as users are able to find additional journalists to follow right inside the program. Comtela also tracks hashtags and keywords being used in finance across the Twittersphere, allowing users to know what topics to write about to optimize reach.

Comtela connects directly with Twitter’s API. To request a demo, contact your Cognito account representative, email the Analytics team or tweet at us – we’re @cognitoanalytic.
