Cognito New York’s spring Breakfast Byte on the effectiveness of content-led communications featured the remarks of three leading communications professionals. While very different in their approaches, the panelists agreed that content is increasingly providing the basis of their work.
In some examples from the panelists:
- ITG – an independent, agency-focused broker-dealer has recently launched a content rich site ITG Transparency highlighting the company’s commitment to show customers how their orders are filled.
- Bloomberg L.P.’s rich website is complemented by Bloomberg Now, a content-rich corporate blog which provides company news and perspective through opinion pieces from executive and business-head level subject matter experts.
- Truphone, the mobile carrier built for global business, has developed 360 idea-led marketing and communications to producesales-oriented events, blogs, analyst relations and premium direct mail pieces such as “Video Cards” which hold informative and creative videos directed at the company’s key audiences.
Of the attendees at the event, 72 % reported that they used content-led strategies, thus feeding an excellent Q&A and an informal post-panel discussion session.Content, it seems, is the fuel behind many excellent programs.
