One of my favorite parts of this job is sharing good news, especially when it is about the development of our staff here in the Cognito New York office. Upon completion of our annual review process, I’m happy to announce three promotions.

Eric Hazard is now a director, Jon Schubin a vice president and Diana Alickaj a senior account manager. Let me take some time to talk about each of my colleagues.

Diana Alickaj

Diana’s worked for Cognito on both sides of the Atlantic. She attended Goldsmiths College of the University of London for her Masters before joining the Cognito London office. She returned to New York and today plans and executes integrated campaigns. She’s planned events, landed exclusives and placed executives from companies large and small in the media people read today.

In her new role, Diana will spend more time working directly with clients, helping them solve their business problems and drive sales through creative and multi-channel communications strategies and execution.

Jon Schubin

Jon’s spent nearly a decade in financial services communications – at Cognito and previously at Walek & Associates — working with a diverse set of clients across financial services and FinTech, particularly at the intersection of asset management, trading technology and venture-backed companies.

As a vice president, he will bring his expertise to the integrated communications and marketing programs we build for current and future clients. Jon’s working with leading companies to incorporate social media, financial analytics and non-traditional strategies to build their brands.

Eric Hazard

Eric brings more than a decade and a half of finance and communications expierence to Cognito. He’s been a reporter, broker, worked in the corporate treasury office, and for the last nine years, helped clients with their financial communications. He’s helped firms across the financial supply chain including market infrastructures, asset managers, retirement plan providers, fund services providers, professional service firms and FinTech companies.

Since joining Cognito last year, he’s refreshed our approach in helping clients develop and tell meaningful stories about their companies. Podcasts, viral campaigns, click-through advertising – these are just some of the out-of-the-box ways he’s helping our clients stand out. He is now the co-lead of client services in the office with Bill Ferguson.

All three staff are valued members of the Cognito team. They provide advisory support and innovative thinking to their clients and colleagues every day. We are thrilled that Diana, Jon and Eric will be taking the next step in their career with us. Congratulations to all!
