Account Executive – New York
We are looking for an account executive to be part of the New York team. As an account executive you will be part of a team whose main focus is advising global financial services companies on communications strategies that connects them with their audiences.
You will be an important member of that team. Responsibilities for an account executive at Cognito are diverse and unique to each client, where you will have the opportunity to work across the communications spectrum, whether it is working with the financial press on deadline, or putting social media content out into the world on behalf of your client. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse accounts as well – clients can range from a Big 4 consulting firm, to an asset manager to cool new start-up technology companies. More specifically, you will work in teams of two to five, with colleagues from all levels and regions (We are global!), including the Managing Director, where you will be involved in brainstorming sessions, daily client work, events and conversations to best help the client reach their goals.
To help you get accustomed to our diverse client mix and offering to develop your expertise, Cognito also offers hands-on learning and training to develop your role as a communications consultant from PR, social to marketing. We provide both in-house and external training opportunities to brush off some of those rarely used and even undiscovered skills.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 1 – 2 years of communications experience
• Must have strong writing and verbal communication skills
• Creative and energetic personality
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite
