London, 25 May 2016 - Cognito, the specialist communications and marketing consultancy for the financial services industry, has appointed Yvonne Maher as Director.

Formerly a Director at Grayling, Yvonne specialises in corporate communications and international PR for clients in the financial services, professional services and energy sectors.

Based in the London office, Yvonne will report to Deputy CEO, Andrew Marshall and will be responsible for diversifying Cognito’s client base and contributing to the continued growth of the company across EMEA.

Throughout her ten years at Grayling, Yvonne managed a number of high profile campaigns for clients including the Economist Intelligence Unit, Lloyds Banking Group, Allianz Worldwide Care, Eversheds and the World Energy Congress. Through her experience of managing a number of multi-market campaigns and working in Brussels as a communications manager for ExxonMobil, Yvonne brings a great breadth of international experience to Cognito.

Andrew Marshall, Deputy CEO and Managing Director EMEA, said: “Yvonne’s knowledge and international experience will be invaluable as we look to grow our global presence and further enhance our offering and services. Continuous expansion and adapting quickly is all about hiring the right talent. Cognito strives to be a solutions-driven consultancy, supporting companies to navigate the changing communications landscape and to build engaging and impactful integrated campaigns, whether that is supporting lead generation or raising awareness.”

Yvonne Maher said: “Cognito truly lives and breathes integrated communications, delivering compelling campaigns and measurable results for its clients. I was immediately struck by its dynamic and progressive approach and look forward to working with its clients and contributing to the future success of the company.”

In order to accommodate its growing team in London, Cognito will move to a new office in Moorgate at the beginning of June. The relocation reflects the company’s ambition to build an agency of the future.
