About the role

As a Senior Account Executive, you will work closely with an
Account Team to deliver for a number of PR clients. You will plan, manage and
deliver effective PR/Marketing/Social campaigns monitoring their success and
reporting back to your client.

General Responsibilities

  • Keeping
    abreast of industry related topics to ensure other account team members
    are informed and forwarding relevant information to your clients.
  • Delegating
    administrative tasks to Account Executives and interns and following
    through on its completion.
  • Raising
    the standard and quality of all information presented both internally and
    externally.
  • Becoming
    highly familiar with your client’s business and the market/industry issues
    in general.

Specific responsibilities

  • Analysing
    client’s media coverage, and reporting to the client on its quality and
    content.
  • Reviewing
    press briefing sheets for client interviews and adding relevant important
    information.
  • Tracking
    relevant features and calling journalists to pitch in clients.
  • Working
    on new business pitches as required.
  • Following
    up on distributed press releases and pitching clients based on newsbreaks.
  • Developing
    and maintaining positive working relationships with journalists.
  • Briefing
    clients thoroughly before every interview, managing interviews for trade
    press and follow – up process.
  • Drafting
    pitches (cold/ or from a synopsis)
  • Drafting
    social media posts, responsible for managing content calendar, posting and
    uploading content to social channels
  • Using
    tools such as Brandwatch and Signal to provide data and insights for the
    client
  • Conduct
    monthly reporting, quarterly reporting as necessary
  • Participating
    and leading in client calls and meetings, taking responsibility for the
    delivery of your tasks
  • Ad
    hoc research: industry issues; contact information; details of
    events/conferences, etc.

Account specific responsibilities

  • Ensuring
    all materials that are delivered to the client arrive on time and are to
    the highest standard.
  • Monitoring
    own time spent on account in line with the rest of the team.
  • Monitoring
    and reporting on client’s competitor activity.
  • Acting
    as the liaison between Account Team to which assigned and other relevant
    departments.
  • Basic
    client interaction including, reporting on media trends in account
    meetings, and addressing the client as a consultant in email communication
    on basics topics like coverage, and interview opportunities.
  • Selling
    in new ideas/stories to your Account Team and ultimately your clients.
  • Under
    supervision of the AM/SAM, begin to offer strategic and business level
    consultation to beyond the scope of the retainer/project.
  • Keeping
    track of client deliverables and ensuring that the team meets its
    interview targets on a monthly basis.
  • Business
    development responsibilities
  • Support
    for all Cognito business development events – focusing on introducing
    journalists to clients and making new journalist contacts.
  • Support
    for all marketing mail outs.
  • Proofing
    documents for prospective clients.
  • Become
    a leading member for the sales support team – providing ideas about how to
    improve the information gathered, and how best to use it.
  • Attending
    pitch meetings when required

About you

  • Previous
    experience in PR/Comms
  • Knowledge
    of the financial markets, financial technology, and climate transition and
    an eagerness to develop this
  • Intellectually

    (after probation) – The Company operates a contributory pension
    scheme. Under government regulations a minimum contribution of 3% must be
    contributed by the employee which is matched by
    a company contribution of 5%. Employees may choose to contribute
    more than 3% but the company contribution will remain unchanged
