Carl Bakenhus is a Vice President in Cognito’s New York office, where he focuses on media strategy, corporate message development and executive communications for clients in institutional finance and fintech.
He brings nearly a decade of experience across leading agencies including Golin, Zeno Group, Hill+Knowlton and Prosek Partners, where he developed expertise in reputation management, crisis communications and narrative strategy for Fortune 500 companies and financial institutions.
Carl holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Music from Louisiana State University and an MSc in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics, where he also earned a Certificate of Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
