Sebastian Mathews, Managing Director EMEA of Cognito, has been appointed as a member of the supervisory board of Cognito Media Amsterdam.

Sebastian worked in Amsterdam for two years as Head of Group Communications of TomTom N.V. Sebastian then became Director Corporate Communications Europe at technology company Kaspersky and followed that with a year as head of corporate communications at Sage Group plc. He took over management of Cognito’s London office as MD EMEA in mid-2019. Cognito CEO Tom Coombes is now expanding Sebastian’s role after a successful 12 months in the role to drive closer integration across Europe. Sebastian joins co-founders Richard Neve and Jan Jaap Omvlee on the board.

In the summer of 2017, Cognito Media Group acquired a minority stake in the agency that emerged from the combination of Neve Public Relations and Omvlee Wordwide. From its Amsterdam office, Cognito works for Achmea, Rewire, VVaA, Stater, Fund Seminar and Corum Investments. Cognito’s other offices are in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, New York and Los Angeles.
