Seven Dutch fintech and consultancy firms are joining forces to enter the German market. Through the Partners for International Business (PIB) FinTech Germany initiative, they aim to accelerate their international growth and support the digital transformation of Germany’s financial sector.
The companies Akkuro by Topicus, Bouncewatch, Business Radar, FiSer Consulting, PaymentGenes, WTSS and ZYNYO formally confirmed their collaboration at the Amsterdam Fintech Event 2026, signing a cooperation agreement on 19 October.
The initiative is supported by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) Frankfurt, with coordination provided by Cognito Amsterdam and Cognito Düsseldorf.
Responding to digitalisation needs of German banks
The partnership is designed to meet growing demand in Germany’s financial sector. German banks and other financial institutions face the challenge of further digitalising their services, improving operational efficiency and meeting increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.
Each participating company brings its own specialist expertise. Together, they offer solutions spanning core banking, digital onboarding, payments, KYC/KYB, compliance, electronic signatures and business intelligence, alongside strategic advisory services.
By combining their capabilities, the companies aim to make Dutch fintech innovation more accessible to German financial institutions.
A stronger collective presence in Germany
Through the Dutch government’s PIB programme, the seven companies will work together to strengthen their position in Germany. Activities will include business matchmaking, knowledge sharing, local network building and joint promotion.
The aim is to raise the profile of the Dutch fintech sector, as well as fostering long-term commercial relationships with German banks and other financial services providers.
“Germany offers significant opportunities for Dutch fintech companies to innovate and grow,” says @Richard Neve, partner and managing director at Cognito Düsseldorf. “With PIB FinTech Germany, we are combining strengths, building valuable partnerships and accelerating cross-border collaboration. Together, we can achieve more than we could individually.”
Support from the Netherlands and Germany
PIB FinTech Germany is coordinated by Jan Jaap Omvlee, strategy director and partner at Cognito Amsterdam, and Neve, in collaboration with RVO and NBSO Frankfurt.
Through the programme, the organisations involved aim to strengthen Dutch–German cooperation in financial services over the long term. A central priority is connecting Dutch technological expertise with the digital transformation challenges facing German financial institutions.
